My name is Jeanne Coleman and I live in Haynesville, Louisiana. I recently got a Toy poodle for my Christmas present this year and let me tell you...he is so much fun to watch and so loveable. He is 10 weeks old now and weighs only 2 pounds. He is such a sweetie. If I get on the phone and am not giving him the attention he thinks is his, he will just start his little "MOMMA" sound of barking and prancing on his back legs. He loves it when I get in the floor with him and play peek-a-boo. He has really been a life saver to me. A little over a month ago we lost our precious 12 year old Neiki. She was a very small white T-cup. We were so lonesome and distraught we immediately began searching for another pet to love. We found your ad in the paper which led us to your web site (which, by the way is very impressive) and ultimately to our little Minnie. She is such a special little puppy. We have never had a dog that was so loving. She is a real snuggler. She has a wonderful time in her backyard playing with my husband and I. She thinks sticks and leaves were created for her enjoyment. Chasing a blowing leaf is the ultimate in pleasurable pastimes. Just watching her antics is a kick. I was surprised to see champions associated with teacup poodles. On the only poodle board I've found they bash the heck out of teacups or tiny toys. I happen to own a male 4lbs. and female 5lbs and I debate the issue of the need for the tinies.

I have had now my 3rd 2 pound teacup in 39 years with as many as 108 breeding poodles and you so cavalierly ask for one. I have sold the one male I have now for $3500. I'll bet that is not in your price range. He is now, at 4 months old, one pound. But he is a healthy dog who will live a full life. He will never be able to climb a stair or walk on the floor with you walking because, if you touch him with your shoe, you would break something, OR WORSE, KILL HIM. AND THEN YOU ASK FOR A 1 POUND DOG. WHAT AN IDIOT!!!! I can't even let this one pound 4 month old go to his home yet. Now someone is going to sell you a dog and tell you it is going to be the size you want and you deserve to get cheated, but it won't be by me. There is no such thing as a "teacup" dog! Your website is very misleading. If you choose to buy a dog this small, you are supporting a cruel act & expect a TRAGIC ending! I would know...I lost my (rescued) 4 month old Chihuahua who weighed just one pound. I also have a 10 month old Chihuahua who weighs 1.8lbs. I have spent $1000 in vet bills to keep her healthy. It is sad people purposely breed dogs this tiny for their own pleasure!!!

How very sad for you. My website is not misleading. When I have a teacup, I have a healthy teacup. I also keep it in my experienced hands till it is ready to go, which, as I noted in my last post, is 4 months or longer. I also screen the new owner.....no kids ....intelligent.... and I caution them about the incompetance of most vets. They are for the most part also bait and switch, pad your bill, care nothing for your feelings, "I want only to be rich" thieves. You or anyone else would never have gotten a 1 pound dog from me. If you have some other circumstance that disqualifies you from a teacup....you would never get one. I only get 2 a year, so I can be very picky. You would have been better off having someone cheat you and sell you a 6 pound dog. However, I was told about a breeder that sold and shipped a pup with no skull cap...and the vet gave it a health certificate for shipping......!!!!! You probably encountered a multitude of botches. I know I read somewhere that you weigh the poodle puppy at a certain age and it will give you an idea of what the puppy will weigh when it is an adult but can't remember or find the site again. A teacup weighs 8 ounces at 2 months and 1 pound at 3 months providing it has a solid skull from birth. NO SOFT SPOT like a baby. With 60 dogs, I only get 2 a year. I get 500 calls a year wanting one. So 498 people are getting screwed by lying breeders. You're going to need a lot of luck and lots of money $2500. You'll also have to watch that a vet checks the pup's knees. You should go wherever it is to pick it up and bring your own scale and take it to a vet. Mary
